Llorente and Ibrahimovic have to get their karate out of football.
By: Javier | December 14th, 2008After looking for about a good twenty minutes, I’ve found the famous Ibra taektwondo pass. Not exactly relevant to Villarreal in general, but is relevant to Llorente’s red card received today during the Sevilla game.
Sevilla FC 1 – 0 Villarreal
Renato (45)
We were doing so well. We knew from the start that Sevilla was dangerous. Being away and them being on their “Real” high can only mean hell for us. Beating Real Madrid is no easy task. Even Barca took a while to score on them yesterday during El Clasico. What a match also, great job by the Messiah on that last minute goal
.
1st Half
The first half mostly can be summarized in two short sentences. Defend like crazy and they won’t score…right? Wrong. Sevilla was coming full force (Thats what she said) to our defending side to only get two shots near the bars. Finally Renato made a slight touch on the ball to get the back of the side net. Our fault mostly and them being aggressive on the attack.
2nd half

I don’t know if many of your played Street Fighter II, or any game that resembles the character Ryu, but Llorentes challenge reminded me of that very game. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t intentional, but the lad really knocked him silly.
The rest of the match was Diego Lopez working his magic. Heres some stats to help you guys out if needed to see how we really weren’t in the mood for attacking.
Sevilla FC – Villarreal
Shots (on Goal) 26(8) 4(1)
Saves 1 7
God bless you Diego Lopez. I can only imagine what the score would of been if he was on a off game. He had good help with the line of defenders as well. Credit to them, credit to the players, credit to the defending coach, credit to…(I watch IOSS way to much, Thanks Roy Keeane)
Highlight Video:
La Liga
Both Valencias and Sevillas wins has dropped us down to 4th place in La Liga. However, they’re only one point above us which isn’t to bad..if we wern’t facing the scary ass Catalans next week >_<. Watching El Clasico has only led me to one conclusion. If someone in La Liga is going to win against them, it has to be us. Or Getaffe since they love winning against harder teams..
If we lose to them, well, then I don’t know what to do. They seem pretty much on par with everything. Maybe Puyol will get injured and Guddy (LOL) will be the Captain..if only hah.
We face Real Madrid after Barca, and can only hope the Yellow Submarines will be up for it.
Vamos Villarreal!!

We are old. Senna isn’t destroying like he usually does. Pires has been awful. We need another athletic midfielder.

Hey there!
I saw the match this past weekend and I’m quite disappointed with the Villarreal loss.
I agree with Kenny up above, from what I’ve seen so far, Pires has looked quite awful to me.
I hope the injured players get back soon as well. That will change all things.
Good luck with the up-coming game.
